My home is quite small and there's stuff everywhere. That's why I'll show you just the main elements. I haven't decorated my apartment that much. Because of my profession as a designer I have to have certain things at hand: sewing machine, dressmaker's model, ironing board or big pile of inspiring books and magazines for example. My stock of fabrics and yarns assures that there's no extra space in my 27-square-metre apartment.
Besides paperbacks my bookself contains books about fashion, handicrafts and cooking. Although I don't cook that much, I love the pictures in cooking books. There are few of my favourites. I especially like these: Young Asian Fashion Designers, Pattern Magic 1 & 2, The Cutting Edge and Chocolate.
Few of my favourite items: Hattifattener (from the Moomins) that I bought from YLE- shop in Tampere, dishes I've got as gifts, nicely colored bicycles from fleamarket and a cool Superman moneybox.
Jewellerybox that I decorated with pictures from magazines. Nowadays I use it to store other things than jewellery because it's way too small for all of my jewellery.
Few of my favourite pieces of jewellery. In the middle is the clock that my grandma gave me about fifteen years ago. I didn't remember it for years until I found it while cleaning and soon it became one of my favourite items. I bought the pink necklace from Seppälä, other ones from fleamarkets.
The silver earrings on the left are from Seppälä, the green ones in the middle I bought from Germany and the rest are from fleamarkets and ebay.
Ai niin, hyvää aprillipäivää!
Oh, and happy April Fool's Day!
